Jens W. Tomm is the head of the Optoelectronic Devices group at the Max Born Institute in Berlin, Germany, where he focuses on spectroscopic aging analysis of high-power diode lasers, optical spectroscopy in such optoelectronic devices as high-power semiconductor lasers, and thermal analysis of optoelectronic devices by means of Raman spectroscopy and microthermography.
Juan Jiménez is a full professor at the University of Valladolid in Valladolid, Spain, where he studies the optical characterization of semiconductors and devices using microscopic techniques. His research work for academic and industrial institutions concerns the optical characterization of III–V compounds and devices and SiGe, ZnO, and other semiconductors used in optoelectronics.
