SEYMOUR LlPSCI-IUTZ, who is presently on the mathematics faculty of Temple University, formerly taught at the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn and was visiting professor in the Computer Science Department of Brooklyn College. He rcccived his Ph.D. in 1960 at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences of New York University. Some of his other books in the Schaum's Outline Series are Beginning Linear Algerba; Discrele Mathematics, 2nd ed.; Probabilily; aod Linear Algebra, 2nd ed.
JOUN J. SCHILLER is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Temple University. He received his Ph.D. at the University of Pennsylvania and has published research papers in the areas of Riemann surfaces, discrete mathematics, and mathematical biology. He has also coauthored texts io finite mathematics, precalculus, and calculus.
