Ronald Spadafora is an assistant (3-Star) chief with the New York City Fire Department. He is currently the assistant chief of training. Chief Spadafora also teaches fire science at John Jay College of the City University of New York. He was Chief Safety Officer for the FDNY Incident Management Team (IMT) at Ground Zero for the entire eight-month recovery operation in New York City after 9/11. He was also the deputy incident commander for the FDNY IMT directing rescue and recovery in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and during Hurricane Rita.
