Jason Miles is the vice president of advancement (marketing, fundraising, and human resources) at Northwest University in Seattle, Washington. He holds a master's degree in business administration and undergraduate degrees in both organizational management and biblical studies. He also teaches as an adjunct professor in the School of Business Management.

In 2008 Jason cofounded Liberty Jane Clothing with his wife, Cinnamon, and serves as the company's primary marketer. To date, Liberty Jane Clothing has had over 150,000 digital guidebooks downloaded from its e-commerce website. It is a thriving six-figure online business. With a cultlike social media following, Liberty Jane has grown to include a Facebook fan page of over 14,000 likers, a YouTube channel with over 7,600 subscribers and 1.2 million video views. In 2011 the company launched its Pinterest profile, which quickly became its top source of social media traffic.

In 2011 Jason started www.marketingonpinterest.com, a blog dedicated to helping small-business owners and marketers grow their businesses on Pinterest. His Pinterest Boot Camps and free e-book The Ultimate Pinterest Marketing Guide have led the industry.

Jason also has an active consulting practice and loves helping entrepreneurs go from concept to cash. In 2011 he worked with over 600 small-business owners to launch or grow their new businesses. Karen Lacey is the author of The Complete Idiot's Guide to Elance (release date August 2012), a how-to book for the small-business owner and freelancer. Prior to this, she ran her own successful online freelance writing, ghostwriting, and editing business. During this time Karen wrote four self-help books, converted three screenplays into novels, one of which placed in a national competition, and edited and proofread countless other books and articles. She also became editor in chief for an active website promoting a variety of political views.

Karen has lived and written throughout the world. She spent seven years as a wildlife photographer and writer in southern Africa, and after moving to London she spent two years writing daily financial analyses for a boutique investment firm. She also made appearances on Sky Business News and Reuters TV and conducted daily commentaries on Bloom-berg News.
